Please read this story about a young mother and father who had twins….prematurely and left the hospital with only one baby in their arms. I know this couple personally and their faith in God has been a great inspiration to me and many many other families as well.

Amber’s Blog~

Amber says~ “I am involved in March for Babies to raise money to support the research for prematurity and so that one day no mommy will leave the hospital empty handed. My sons were born on December 28,2007: Jackson was stillborn and his mighty brother, Bronson weighed just 2 pounds 3.4 ounces. Bronson spent the next 60 days in the NICU of Sacred Heart and left us with a feeling that will forever define our life. Our son is a miracle and we hope that you will join our fight in raising money for March of Dimes.”

God Bless you Amber, Kyle and Bronson Deets!!

You are firmly IN HIS GRIP!

I have really enjoyed doing the challenges that are presented by the designers at the Pink Elephant site! You won’t find me ever holding my breath to win any of these challenges but I LOVE LOVE LOVE looking at the other submissions and taking up the challenge to push my abilities to create and use new technique! That alone makes all of the entrants winners in my book! Here is my attempt for this weeks *BLING* challenge! The picture might be kind of dark…and if so….I will re-take it tomorrow when it’s daylight and might turn out better 🙂

Just Because~ TPE Challenge

Just Because~ TPE Challenge

This was so much fun to make!! I am truly attracted to *BLING* of all kinds….un-naturally attracted I might add and tonight, feeling tender, my ideas turned to frilly bling, delicate bling, fluff and lace….I am really happy with the card!

I started with:

Light Grey Cardstock and added a nice white matte. Then I added a light pink matte too! Love that grey/white and pink together!

Then I took some striped pink paper and coupled it with some grey that had been run through my cuttlebug. Ahhhh….now for the bling and the fun! I ran a strip of really beautiful pearl studded lace down the center and  used pink glitter brads in all four corners.

I used 2 of my circle nestabilities and cut them exactly in half, securing them in half circles (upper and lower) Then fussy cut the bows and applied them with sticky foam to add some dimension to the card. I added a really rich mauve colored bow to the top and included a sweetly simple sentiment…Just Because…..

In His Grip!~

It’s been an emotionally challenging week here as my uncle passed away on Monday 😦 I am so thankful for the assurance that I will see him again one day so it isn’t *Good-Bye Uncle Dan* but rather….*see you later…forever!* I loved him so…..and his gentle but jolly spirit will be greatly missed through out our entire family.

It’s really late and I am not able to sleep this eveing so I thought I would take the time to upload a few new cards I made. I get so much satisfaction from creating them and sending them to friends and family members.

I have also rediscovered the joy of being a Chemo-Angel, and recently got my wings for a new assignment!! It is a volunteer angeling program where all volunteer angels get the priviledge of adopting a *chemo-buddy* and we send encouragement through snail mail on a regular basis. You can learn more here, If you would like to become an angel yourself, or if you know someone with cancer who could use some angeling….you will enjoy this site.

Here are some of the cards I’ve been busy creating.

You thought that was it didn’t you? There’s more. … Now for something completely different: This is a little different challenge requirement – to post the 6th photo found in your 6th folder in “My Pictures” and tell the story behind the photo. Here is the sixth picture in my sixth album.

Someone's feet! I THINK these are Ashley's!

Someone's feet! I THINK these are Ashley's!

Ok….I am not sure I can even tell the story behind this picture! LOLOL I howled when I saw that it was the 6th pic. in my 6th folder. The folder is MY folder. (Each of the kids have folders of their own) So it’s a mystery how this got into my personal folder…..these little piggies look like Ashley’s feet and deductive reasoning points to her as well…..she is my only daughter (hence the polished pinkies) so unless my boys aren’t telling me something…and fingers crossed I know them well enough……these have to be hers!
